In January 1986, Dr. Robbins Barstow of Wethersfield, Connecticut, filmed a two-week cruise circumnavigating Mexico's Baja Peninsula. The trip included close encounters with seven different species of cetaceans -- Gray, Humpback, Bryde's, and Blue Whales, three kinds of dolphins, and giant elephant seals. (One Hour)

Whalewatching Adventures in Baja California
What a pleasure to go on a whale watch with Robbins Barstow; not only is it a great trip but Robbins has such enthusiasm and gratitude for everything. There are many sightings of whales and dolphins, all filmed with Robbins' sense of awe and love of subject; and that is also true of the seabirds, bays, sunsets, and the sea itself. This is a very educational adventure into the prime whale territory of Baja, and the great narration adds fun and appreciation along the way.
